Evetofte: Green Summer House Settlement and Halsninoen
Evetofte is located inland in Halsnæs and is a summer house area characterised by greenery and extensive woodland. The buildings are integrated into large forest areas. Most of the roads are lined with trees, giving the area the character of an avenue. The roads and forest areas therefore define the visible character of the summer house area.
Summer House Area and Rævebakke
The area comprises approximately 530 summer houses. This figure describes the approximate size of the settlement. Rævebakke is 25 metres high and designated as a public area. The designation of Rævebakke is not associated with any specific facility or current use. For orientation within the area, the key features here are the summer house development, the tree-lined roads and the forest areas beside the elevated point.
Halsninoen: Hiking through Halsnæs
Halsninoen is a 52.7-kilometre hiking trail through the whole of Halsnæs, designed primarily for traditional hiking. The length is therefore a key planning factor for a full or partial tour. The planned distance for the day can be based on the total length. Evetofte remains a geographical reference point within the overall route and is not designated as the starting point of the entire route.
In Evetofte, Halsninoen runs close to the DVL summer house. The trail crosses municipal, state and private land, providing public access for hiking there. The rest of its route includes soft grass, forest roads and forest paths, as well as sand and gravel. When planning a hike, the changing surfaces therefore play a role alongside the number of kilometres. Footwear, breaks and how the route is divided can be adapted to these different trail surfaces. When planning in stages, the distance for the day can therefore be considered together with the surface of each section, rather than treating all sections as alike. Anyone choosing only one section of Halsninoen can take the surface of that section into account separately.
Cycling Connection and Ecological Connection
In addition to the hiking trail, there is a designated cycling connection between Evetofte and Melby. It provides a separate connection for bicycle traffic and extends beyond Evetofte to another locality. For active days in Evetofte, hiking and cycling can be planned as separate activities: Halsninoen runs through the whole of Halsnæs, while the cycling connection links Evetofte with Melby. The cycling connection and the hiking trail can therefore stand alongside each other in Evetofte as two independent ways of getting around.
A potential ecological connection between Torup and Evetofte/Melby has also been designated in Halsnæs. It is intended to connect two existing ecological connections. This connection is part of the landscape of Halsnæs, but it should not be equated with an additional hiking or cycling route. The potential ecological connection remains designated as such; its designation does not imply the existence of a completed visitor facility.
