Halsnæs Municipality: Fjord Paths, Coast and Culture
Halsnæs Municipality can be explored via the Fjordstien: the hiking and cycling trail runs along the Roskilde Fjord and the Isefjord close to the coast.
Nature and trails
There are several simple nature campsites along the Fjordstien. The Nordkyststien is a cycling and hiking trail from Hundested to Helsingør. Another notable route is the Halsnæs Sundhedskorridor: the approximately 10-kilometre-long route starts and ends at Hundested railway station. Information boards or audio guides are available along the corridor; there are also suggestions for smaller nature activities.
Halsninoen is a 52.7-kilometre-long hiking trail through the whole of Halsnæs, from Hundested via Arrenakke and Arrenæs to the Strø Bjerge. Many regional railway stations and bus stops are located near the Halsninoen. The different route lengths and trail types provide a clear basis for comparing the scope of a day hike or cycling tour.
Kongemagt og Vandets Kraft can be walked in three variants of 5, 7 and 11 kilometres. Among other places, the hiking route passes Dronningholm Castle Ruins and the beaver shelter near Dronningholm Mose. Ullerup Skov has a labyrinth as well as a combined shelter and fire hut with a barbecue area and a bridge over a small lake.
