The Pilsoto Ring crosses the historic land of Pilsotas and areas described as valuable for their natural and cultural heritage, particularly the Seaside Regional Park. Its attractions include Plikiai Evangelical Lutheran Church, Seaside Regional Park, and PlazÄ— Nature Reserve.

The Western Lithuania Cycling Ring is 377 km long. It runs through coastal areas and western Žemaitija and provides access to cultural monuments.

History and local character

In 1785, Baukštininkai was recorded as a noble estate and village with 13 homesteads. A narrow-gauge railway formerly ran through the Baukštininkai estate. A school was founded here before 1839; a typical school building from the late 19th century has been preserved in the locality. Baukštininkai is also connected with a former estate in Sendvario eldership.

The historic Memel Lutheran Church, Sala Kiaulės Nugara Island, and the hills of Grambaviškių Kalnas, Šilo Kalnas, and Hageno Kalnas are located in the surroundings of Baukštininkai. The Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary is located in the wider regional area.
