Kadrina: Cultural History and Active Days

Kadrina combines historical sites with diverse opportunities for physical activity. The present stone Kadrina Church was built at the same location in the 15th century. Inside the church is an approximately life-size wooden crucifix with a figure of Christ. Services are held at 11:00 a.m. on the second and fourth Sunday of each month.

Another prominent landmark is the Emakeeleausammas Monument. It stands next to Kadrina School and is considered one of the municipality's important sights. For active days, Kadrina terviserada offers several clearly designated routes. The artificially snow-covered sections are 2.4 kilometers, 1.7 kilometers, and 1 kilometer long. They are used year-round for physical activity and for skiing in winter. The area also has a low ropes course and a bike park with jumps and a pump track. Kadrina Pumptrack itself is a 300-meter-long BMX track for BMX racing, BMX freestyle, and skateboarding.

Kadrina Paisjärv can also be included in your day plan: the lake is surrounded by a route for walking and cycling. Kadrina Spordikeskus additionally has a 25-meter indoor swimming pool with four lanes. The sports hall offers facilities for badminton, tennis, table tennis, basketball, volleyball, indoor football, and indoor hockey.
