Nature, Trails and Water at Vihula Manor

Two marked hiking trails are available for walks at Vihula Manor: one is 1.5 km long and the other 3 km. Both trails are also suitable for cycling. A day pass also includes bicycle rental for one hour, allowing you to explore the surroundings. The day pass also includes a visit to the historic water mill.

The gently flowing Mustoja creates a special landscape scene. It runs through the park between old, stately trees and lush greenery, then widens into a pond with water lilies, small islands and romantic arched bridges. Vihula Manor also includes a garden. During the summer season, visitors can observe animals at the eco-farm. The nature experience therefore ranges from short walks and a bicycle ride to quietly taking in the water, garden and park.

History, Museums and Crafts

The history of the place reaches far back: the first written record of Vihula Manor dates from 1501. The present-day Vihula Manor was built during the period of the von Schuberts, between 1820 and 1880. The Vodka Museum features four collections with different themes. The first reports of vodka production at Vihula Manor date from the mid-18th century.

The Vintage Car Museum also has a clear focus. It displays legendary and very rare vehicles, including the Volga, Pobeda, Chaika and the historic Opel P4. Those who prefer to experience culture in a hands-on way can take part in a workshop on handmade sweets and truffles. There, you will learn about the history and art of chocolate-making, make your own sweets and truffles using three different types of chocolate, and create a decorative box.

Family Activities, Cuisine and Sauna

For families, Kaval-Ants Forest offers children adventurous opportunities for play and relaxation. The Vihula Mini Golf Course is the first and largest 18-hole mini-golf course in the Baltics. Its holes represent well-known sights from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, combining the game with a small journey through the three Baltic countries.

The restaurant menus focus mainly on Estonian cuisine; several recipes come from the manor's old cookbook. A large proportion of the natural and regional food comes from the manor's own garden and neighbouring farms.
