Landscape and water

The landscape around Lüssow is characterized by agriculture. The Hohen Sprenzer Mühlbach flows through the municipality; it flows into the Nebelkanal. A drawbridge dating from 1895, which is listed in the register of historic monuments, is also located on the Nebelkanal.

History and architectural heritage

Lüssow was first mentioned in an official document in 1229. The village's fieldstone and brick church dates from 1257. The Bronze Age burial mound Hilgenbarg is designated as a sight in Lüssow.

The Lüssow cemetery, listed in the register of historic monuments and located at Friedhofsweg/Schwiesower Straße, includes a gate, Reichhoff grave slabs, and a mausoleum. The Lüssow rectory, also listed in the register of historic monuments, is located at Friedhofsweg 10.

Lüssow Manor House was built at the end of the 18th century and preserves numerous historic details. In the 19th century, a solid brick façade and a contemporary extension were added. The manor house is currently temporarily closed due to renovation work.

The grounds of Karow Castle include a former manager's house known as the hunting school. An old court column is designated as a sight in Karow.
