History and Culture

The place name Pingelshagen became established in the first half of the 15th century. Agriculture shaped village life for centuries. Cultural connections can still be found in the village today: Since 2006, the Kreidekreis Pingelshagen has participated in the KUNST OFFEN art program with group exhibitions. In addition, Sylvia Ludwig's studio gallery in Pingelshagen has hosted a group exhibition.

Wiligrad is known as a place with a Neo-Renaissance castle, changing art exhibitions, a sculpture park, and old rhododendrons.

Landscape and Trails

An avenue of fruit trees comprising 98 trees, the Millennium Avenue, was planted in 2000. A cycle path connects Pingelshagen with Klein Trebbow. The region around Pingelshagen is also described as an area offering opportunities for hiking, cycling, and horseback riding.
