Vitense: Hotels and Accommodation

Vitense is connected to two regional cycle routes in the Radegast Valley: Route R4 runs for 10 kilometres from Demern via Rehna to Vitense Parber. Route R3 connects the Radegast Corridor with Schönberg and identifies Vitense Parber as a visitor area. The restored barns in Vitense Parber are designated as a special tourist destination and experience area in the Radegast Valley.

Active Travel

From May to October, Rehna organises regional cycling tours. An e-bike charging station is also available at Freiheitsplatz.

Culture and History

At Rehna Monastery, you can visit the Cloister Museum and the church. An audio guide is available in German or English. The cloister garden, the Kneipp pool and the barefoot trail are free to access.

The historic monastic town of Rehna can be explored on an audio tour with 17 stops. It leads, among other places, to half-timbered houses, artesian wells and the former monastery complex. The Deutsches Haus is open to visitors and contains the inventory of one of Rehna’s last shoemaker’s workshops, as well as historical Mecklenburg traditional costume objects.

Dassow, St Nicholas Church, Gadebusch, St James and St Dionysius Church, and Buchhorst are located in the surroundings of Vitense.

In the wider regional surroundings of Vitense are Rosenhagen Beach, Dog Beach 1, the Cultural-Historical Monument Bird Park and the Spitzbubenberg Cultural-Historical Monument.
