Dassow combines unusual attractions with a rich local history. At the Erlebnis- & Tigerpark Dassow, visitors can experience tigers at close range. Outpost One is a galactic fan-art exhibition with more than 30 thematically designed sets covering more than 1,300 square metres.
History and Culture
The Heimatstube in the Altenteilerkate, regarded as Dassow’s oldest house, conveys the traditions and history of Dassow, its districts and the surrounding region. A small local history library is also attached. St. Nicholas Church in Dassow is located nearby. As a historic village church, St. Nikolai was first documented in 1230; following the fire of 1632, a Renaissance altar and pulpit were added, while Friedrich Friese III built the organ in 1859. St. Lorenz is also located in the surrounding area of Dassow. The village church in Bössow, a district of Warnow, is located in the wider regional area.
