Gollwitz: Hotels and Accommodation

Gollwitz has a Baltic Sea beach with shallow water. The first sandbank is located about 100 metres offshore. The beach also features an adventure playground in the shape of a pirate ship, a volleyball net, a kiosk and sanitary facilities.

Wangernp Beach is located in the surrounding area of Gollwitz. Nearby are Poel, Langenwerder and Kieler Ort.

Nature and Maritime History

The Gollwitz lighthouse is a short walk from the beach and has helped improve navigation in Wismar Bay since 1929.

From Gollwitz Beach, you can look out over Langenwerder, a protected bird island used by waders, waterfowl and migratory birds. Guided visits to the island with expert guides are available.

The wider region around Gollwitz is home to Wismar Zoo, Tressow Castle, Biendorf, Kirche and Bürgerpark.
