Rögnitz: Hotels and Accommodations

The manor house in Rögnitz dates from around 1820 and is designed in the Tudor Gothic style. The rendered half-timbered building preserves a delicate, wrought-iron, veranda-like porch at its entrance.

Culture and Townscape

The manor house at the addresses Hauptstraße 18, 18a, and 19 is listed in the monument register of Northwest Mecklenburg. On Rögnitz’s Hauptstraße, it is also listed together with its park. A listed mausoleum stands behind the manor house at Hauptstraße 19. The manor house can be viewed from the outside.

The village square of Rögnitz, lined with tall linden trees and home to the old manor house, is part of the townscape. In Rögnitz and Woldhof, there are also buildings whose exterior walls are made entirely of fieldstones.

Nature and Trails

Rögnitz, Bentin, and Woldhof border the Schaalsee Nature Park, which is considered a biosphere reserve. New paths leading into nature offer opportunities for cycling around Rögnitz. The route from Rögnitz to Neuenkirchen is also well developed.

The manor house is used for residential purposes; two holiday apartments are available there.
