Loddin: Hotels and Accommodation

Loddin-Kölpinsee stretches from the Baltic Sea to the Achterwasser lagoon. Between the coast and inland waters lies a landscape where beaches, lakes, forests and viewpoints are all close together.

Landscape

Lake Kölpinsee lies just below sea level. A coastal dune and a protective dyke separate it from the Baltic Sea. The reed belt around the lake provides a habitat for waterfowl. Around northern Kölpinsee and southern Stubbenfelde, centuries-old beech forests extend to the coastal cliffs.

The Loddiner Höft viewpoint looks out over the Achterwasser lagoon. This also keeps the special location of this landscape feature visible: Loddiner Höft lies at the tip of a peninsula in the Achterwasser lagoon and can be reached on foot.

Townscape and Culture

Loddin's historic fishing village preserves thatched-roof houses. Loddin's railway station building is also home to the Kölpinsee local history museum, a small village museum.

Paths and Water

A circular trail runs around Lake Kölpinsee. A walk around the lake offers the opportunity to discover wild orchids. At Teufelsberg in Stubbenfelde, a staircase leads down from the cliff viewpoint to the Baltic Sea beach. The beach at Loddin-Kölpinsee is bright and fine-sandy.

For excursions on the Achterwasser lagoon, Kiki's boat rental service rents out pedal boats and rowboats. At the Waterblick restaurant, you can enjoy fresh fish with a view across the Achterwasser lagoon and of the setting sun.

Leisure Activities on Site

Loddin-Kölpinsee offers accessible rest areas. Loddin has a multi-generational playground with innovative play equipment. Guided tours are offered from Loddin and Kölpinsee. In Stubbenfelde, a campsite is located near the forest and Lake Kölpinsee.
