Culture and History

The landscape park surrounding Neetzow Castle was created by Peter Joseph Lenné.

The history of the Krusenfelde estate is linked to neighboring Gramzow: the Krusenfelde estate originally belonged to Gramzow. In 1821, the Gramzow estate and the Krusenfelde Vorwerk were acquired by the von Kruse estate-owning family. Around 1861, Wilhelm von Kruse established the Krusenfelde Vorwerk. The Krusenfelde estate remained in the possession of the von Kruse family until it was expropriated in 1945.

Neetzow Castle was converted into a hotel, which began operations in 2004.

Traces in the Townscape

The nearby Krusenkrien manor house was demolished around 1977. Some of the former Krusenkrien estate's stables have survived; two of them are partially used as apartments.

South of the inspector's house, an overgrown pile of rubble remains at the former site of the Krusenkrien manor house.

There is a playground in the former park of the Krusenfelde manor house.
