Nature in and around Trige

Bærmoseskov covers approximately 80 hectares and lies east of the motorway. The state forest was established around 1990 immediately west of Trige along the E45 motorway and is part of De nye Aarhus Skove. At the end of Bærmosevej, Bærmoseskov has a dog forest. Dogs may run free there provided their owners keep them fully under control. Anyone traveling with a dog can plan to use the dog forest for off-leash exercise. For nature days, Bærmoseskov combines the larger forest area with a dedicated space for dogs to run free.

Trige Church stands on a hill at the eastern edge of Trige. It is a Romanesque church from the 13th century. Trige Church offers wide-ranging views, including views of Trige Skov. Its hilltop location combines a visit to the church with expansive views across the landscape. The view of Trige Skov gives the historic building a clear connection to its surroundings.

The Trige-Ølsted Local History Archive is of interest to anyone wanting to explore the history of Trige and Ølsted. It preserves stories, photographs and information about the local history of both places. The various materials relate to Trige and Ølsted alike. Archive staff are present on the first and third Thursday of each month from 15:00 to 16:30. Trige Forsamlingshus is also part of the local history; it was built in 1904.

KulturKlubben typically organizes four cultural events per year at Trige Sognegård. In addition, pottery burials from the Older Roman Iron Age were discovered in a gravel pit northwest of Trige. The find therefore belongs to a considerably earlier period than the Romanesque church and the Forsamlingshus built in 1904.
