Nature and Water
Hedensted is home to Uldum Kær, an approximately 1,200-hectare inland marsh on the Gudenå between Uldum and Tørring. Around 1,050 hectares of the Kær belong to Natura 2000 site No. 77 and include habitats for, among others, marsh harriers, kingfishers, brook lampreys and otters.
Uldum Kær has hiking and cycling trails, bridges over the Gudenå, birdwatching towers and a canoe launch site with access to the Gudenå. Canoeing is possible on the Gudenå from Tørring to Randers. Canoes for the Gudenå route can be rented from licensed providers.
Hedensted Søerne is a recreational area with seven lakes. An approximately 4-kilometre hiking trail leads around the seven lakes of Hedensted Søerne. Swimming is permitted in the large lakes of Hedensted Søerne; the water quality is continuously monitored.
Palsgaard Castle Park is open to the public and covers 31 hectares. It includes six smaller lakes as well as numerous rare trees and plants.
The local and regional bus routes in Hedensted are operated by Midttrafik and Sydtrafik. The ferry to Hjarnø departs from Snaptun harbour.

Trails and Activities

Culture and History
Glud Museum is an open-air museum with 19 historic buildings and historic gardens. It offers guided tours about the history of rural life from the 17th century onwards. The museum also offers historical walks in Hedensted Municipality.
Hjortsvang Museum presents historic buildings and interiors associated with family life from 1850 to 1950. Throughout the year, the museum holds around ten events for adults, families and children.
Danmarks Ferguson Museum preserves a unique agricultural and industrial cultural heritage from 1919 to the present day. It displays the world's largest collection of Ferguson tractors and equipment.
Palsgaard Sommerspil has staged a new musical production almost every year since 1972.
Juelsminde Harbour Museum traces the development from a small fishing village into an active harbour town and covers the former ferry connection to Zealand. The museum includes a ship simulator that visitors can operate.
Juelsminde Naturlegepark offers play, entertainment, games and recreation for active children and people of all ages. Uldum Mølle produces exclusively organic flour products.
