Discover Thorsager: Round Church, Forests and Kulturringen

For culture enthusiasts, Thorsager begins with the Thorsager Round Church. It was built around the year 1200 and is one of the oldest brick buildings in Jutland. It is one of Denmark’s seven medieval round churches and the only one in Jutland.

The Thorsager Round Church

The round shape defines the structure. Inside is a white church interior with vaulted ceilings and four substantial red-brick columns. The red columns stand out clearly against the white interior and form strong vertical elements beneath the vaults. For culture enthusiasts, the Thorsager Round Church can be considered as a separate focus alongside the forests and recreational activities in the area.

Forests and Følle Beach

Thorsager is surrounded by extensive forests that offer good opportunities for recreational activities. Følle Beach is located in the vicinity of Thorsager.
