Church and Summer Singing in Mou

Mou Church is whitewashed and covered with tiles. Its Gothic nave dates from the first half of the 15th century; on the north side there is an extension from the 18th century.

Every summer, people gather in Mou for Summer Singing in Kirkeskoven by Mou Church. The venue is Dokkedalvej 10B, Mou, 9280 Storvorde.

At Summer Singing, the parish’s two musicians play and sing for communal singing beneath the green tree canopies.

Before Summer Singing, Mou Spejderne opens a stand. Coffee and homemade pastries are sold there.

Limfjord, Beach and Harbour

Mou Beach is located on the Limfjord near Mou and Mou Marina. When planning a day by the water, this area can therefore be considered together with the harbour.

At Stejlgabet, a jetty extends through the eelgrass into the clear water for swimming. Anyone wishing to use this water access can include the specific location in their day’s itinerary.

At Stejlgabet and by the harbour, two types of water access therefore come together: a jetty for swimming and a slipway in Mou.

Mou Marina has a slipway and lends bicycles to visiting boat guests on request. Anyone mooring by boat can plan to borrow a bicycle there on request.

Lille Vildmose and the Moorland Centre

Lille Vildmose is designated as a 7,824-hectare Natura 2000 area. The Lille Vildmose Centre offers exhibitions, films, and play and learning activities about the wildlife and nature of the moorland.

The Centre also conveys the natural and cultural values of the moorland. There are guides for independent exploration; guided tours can be booked through the Centre.

Anyone wishing to explore the moorland independently can follow the guides from the Lille Vildmose Centre. Those planning a guided visit will also find the option to book a guided tour there.

Around Mou, Lille Vildmose offers observation towers, platforms, viewpoints, as well as paths and routes for independent nature experiences. This allows independent exploration to be combined with different paths and viewpoints.

Paths and Views near Dokkedal

Portland Moor has a 1.1-kilometre boardwalk. Anyone exploring the moorland independently can plan the route as a clearly defined section of their walk.

The 1.1 kilometres of boardwalk provide Portland Moor with a fixed framework for planning; additional paths and routes complement exploration in Lille Vildmose on site.

Near Dokkedal lies the Mulbjerge moraine, offering picturesque views of the Kattegat and Lille Vildmose.

There are also several hiking trails in the Mulbjerge area. The trails can be combined with views of the Kattegat and Lille Vildmose.
