Øster Hurup: Beach, Harbour and SUP on the Kattegat

Coast and Beachfront Location

At Øster Hurup Beach, shallow water, small waves and white sand define the coastal landscape. The beach is therefore suitable for families, as the water remains shallow near the shore and the waves are small. In the northern part of the beach, white sand stretches for several kilometres. There are car parks and a modern toilet building near the beach. The shallow area by the shore is just as characteristic of the beach as the northern sandy stretch.

At the SUP spot in Øster Hurup, you can try stand-up paddleboarding at the harbour or on the calm sandy beach. SUP boards can be launched from the beach immediately north of the harbour. Legeland with Play Areas

Øster Hurup Legeland offers a jungle area with a slide and climbing tubes. For smaller children, Legeland has playhouses and a motorway-themed play track. The various play areas are kept together within Legeland.

Summer Live Music at the Harbour

In summer, Øster Hurup also offers live music in the open air at the harbour. The music is therefore tied to the summer season and takes place by the water, not in Legeland's play areas.

Church and Tower overlooking the Kattegat

Øster Hurup Church was built after the model of St Peter's Church in Randers. The 9-metre-high tower in Øster Hurup offers views across the Kattegat.
