Chwaszczyno is located in the Chwaszczynskie Hills and is locally connected with Lake Osowskie and Lake Wysockie. At the same time, the town has a Kashubian character.
Culture and history
The craft activities of a women's circle in Chwaszczyno included an embroidery group. The earliest known references to Chwaszczyno date back to 1283.
The Muzeum Emigracji is located in the vicinity of Chwaszczyno. The Akwarium Gdyńskie MIR is also nearby. In the wider regional area are Gdańsk - Centralne Morskie, Rzucewo - Pałac Neogotycki 1840-1845, and Kępa Oksywska.

Gora Donas and Krzyzowa Gora are located in the immediate vicinity of Chwaszczyno. Pucka Góra is also located in the surrounding area.
Location and transport
Chwaszczyno borders Gdynia to the northeast and Gdańsk to the east; this places the town geographically within the Tricity area.
As a local road junction, Chwaszczyno connects National Road 20 with Voivodeship Road 218. Public transport is provided by the Tricity's municipal transport services. The Chwaszczyno junction is also connected to the S6 expressway and serves as the starting point of an S7 section toward Żukowo.
