Fleckeby is located between the Schlei and the Hütten Hills. The municipality has access to the Schlei for sailing and motorboating, as well as mooring facilities. The local marina has 60 berths. The surrounding protected landscapes offer opportunities for hiking, cycling, swimming and sailing.

History and Culture

A historical walking trail in Fleckeby leads from the Hardesvogtei to the Schlei and back through the town centre. The Hardesvogtei houses an exhibition on the history of the former Harden in the Duchy of Schleswig.

Geographical Setting

The area around Fleckeby is home to Runenstein, Gottorf Castle, the State Museum, Haithabu and the Edelsturm ruins. Mövenberg and Lindholm are also located nearby. Further afield in the region are the wildlife park and Noer Beach.

Local Highlights

On the edge of the village, Kunst-Café Fleckeby offers cakes, hand-filtered egg coffee and handicrafts. The seasonal garden features more than 150 varieties of roses.

By road, Fleckeby can be reached via the A7 and the B76.
