Langwedel: Hotels and Accommodation

Langwedel is situated in the lake-rich, hilly landscape of the Westensee Nature Park area. There are municipal bathing areas at Lake Brahmsee, Lake Lustsee and Lake Pohlsee.

Nature and Trails

Loki’s Biotope is considered an area that has been deliberately allowed to return to a wild state and is characterized by bird cherries, willows and birches. The biotope can be reached via the Helmut Schmidt Trail.

A circular hiking trail near Langwedel leads through the Olendieksau valley and past Schoolkat Langwedel. In Langwedel, you can cycle, hike, swim, go horseback riding or take a boat trip.

Culture

The Schoolkat Langwedel village museum is housed in a listed schoolhouse dating from 1764 and offers exhibitions, lectures and events.

Cycling in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde District

The Rendsburg-Eckernförde District offers five long-distance cycling routes, five e-bike tours and twelve themed routes. The signposted cycle paths include themed day tours through nature parks as well as routes connecting bathing areas.
