Schülp near Rendsburg: Hotels and Accommodations

Schülp is considered a village located by the water, seven kilometers south of Rendsburg. The village is situated in a rural setting near the Eider and the Kiel Canal.
Water and Landscape
In Schülp, you can walk along the banks of the Kiel Canal. Rüsterbergen is a ten-meter-high sand hill offering views over the canal and the Eider lowlands. Access to the viewpoint at the Rüsterbergen pilot station is free at all times; there, you can watch pilots transfer from a pilot boat to passing ships.
Nature
The inland dunes of Timmerbarg, Schütterberg, and Moritzberg are considered ecologically valuable.
Culture and Village History
The white Kreuzkirche in Schülp is a modern church building in the style of the late 1960s. At the Alte Kate, structural elements indicate a construction period between 1750 and 1770.
A small village museum is located in a neighboring barn at the site of the Alte Kate. The Alte Kate also features a small permanent exhibition with objects from regional everyday culture; fireplace readings are held regularly in its hall.
The Alte Kate is connected to the “Schülp (near Rendsburg)” bus stop.
