Großsolt: Hotels and Accommodations

The freely accessible hiking trail “Around Treßsee” begins near Großsolt Church at the Bondenau, follows the Rehweg for the most part, passes Großsoltwesterholz and the Treßsee lowlands, and returns in the direction of the Großsolt sports field. It highlights the Upper Treene Landscape, the Großsolt Moor, the Treene, and the protected dune at Treßsee. Located north of Großsolt, Treßsee is fed by the Bondenau, is considered the source of the Treene, and is connected with the Upper Treene Landscape nature conservation project; the Dune at Treßsee nature reserve lies north of the lake.

History and Culture

In the approximate surroundings of the center of Großsolt are the historic site of Ruethstein, the Edelsturm ruins, and Sieverstedt Church, St. Peter’s Church. In the wider regional surroundings is Gottorf Castle with the State Museum.

In the wider regional surroundings of the center of Großsolt is Habernis Beach. The approximate surroundings of the center also include the Höckberg and Nordhöhe hills as well as Farensodde Cape.
