History and Culture

Husby's archaeological heritage includes an urn cemetery that was used from 600 BC until around the beginning of the Common Era. By 1960, approximately 1,300 urns had been recorded there. There is also a wagon burial associated with a person possibly of princely rank.

St. Vincentius Church is open year-round for visits, quiet reflection, and prayer. From May to September, volunteer-guided church tours take place on the first Friday of each month between 3 and 5 p.m. without prior registration; group visits can be arranged separately.

In the vicinity of Husby, Ruethstein is listed as a historic site and Sieverstedt, St. Petri Church, as a church. In the wider regional area around Husby, the listed Edelsturm Ruin is also located; Schloss Gottorf, State Museum, is likewise listed there as a museum.

Arrival and Mobility

Husby has a railway station on the Flensburg–Kiel line. There is an hourly train service in each direction. The station has Park+Ride capacity as well as a Bike+Ride facility with 22 spaces.
