Mittelangeln: Hotels and accommodations
The Historical Satrup Circular Trail runs through the center of Mittelangeln and has eleven stations that convey historical impressions of the center of Mittelangeln. The trail takes about 45 minutes on foot. The suggested starting point is the parking lot at the ADS kindergarten at Flensburgerstraße 6a.
History and culture
The Satruphuus is housed in a former shop building dating from 1846. On three floors, the museum presents local material on trade, crafts, industry, the Redlefsen company, the Satrup railway stations, and historical working methods.
The late Romanesque St. Laurentius Church in Satrup was built around 1200. Inside, there is an image of a knight that is described as probably the oldest in Schleswig-Holstein. A barely visible hill next to the Mühlenstrom was once the site of a medieval motte.
The Rehbergholz and Schwennholz protected area contains six megalithic tombs. Walking and hiking trails lead through the forest near Rehbergholz and Schwennholz.
Nature and trails
The Rehberg enclosure has spacious walking paths for relaxation in nature. Two circular trails differ in length: the short one measures 1.6 kilometers, while the long one measures 3.25 kilometers. The longer loop also includes stations for outdoor fitness exercises.
A 1.8-kilometer circular trail leads through the Satrupholm Moor. Information boards introduce visitors to the moor's flora and fauna. The 34-hectare Hechtmoor was designated a nature reserve in 1941.
Swimming
The Satrup outdoor pool has four different pools. The competition pool has five 25-meter lanes.
