Culture and History
The St. George's Church in Oeversee preserves a medieval defensive tower in a round form, historic Romanesque elements, an altar and a baptismal font made of Gotland limestone, as well as vault paintings from the Late Gothic and Early Renaissance periods. The church was also located on a historic pilgrimage route to Jerusalem, Rome and Santiago de Compostela.
The Arnkiel Park in Munkwolstrup presents seven Neolithic megalithic tombs, an information pavilion and multilingual explanations. The park also includes the reconstructed Munkwolstrup “LA 31” tomb.
Mobility
Arnkiel Park can be reached by car, public transport, bicycle or on foot. There is a car park there; a bus stop is located nearby. Rail connections are available via Flensburg and Tarp. The park is also connected to cycle touring routes and the E1 long-distance hiking trail.
