Steinfeld: Hotels and Accommodations

Steinfeld is located along the former Kreisbahn railway line between Schleswig and Süderbrarup: The approximately 21-kilometer cycling and hiking route runs through the Angeln countryside. A 3.3-kilometer section runs through Steinfeld; it passes the former railway station and a rest area.

Cycling and Hiking

The Kreisbahn railway line is a shared pedestrian and cycle path; horse riding is not permitted. The MarktTreff Steinfeld is located directly next to the Alte Kreisbahn railway line between Süderbrarup and Schleswig. It offers a grocery store that is open around the clock, as well as regional products.

In the Schleswig-Flensburg district, developed cycling and hiking trails run alongside beaches, sailing waters, forests, and golf courses.

Nature and the Schlei

Steinfeld is approximately five kilometers from the Schlei, a Baltic Sea fjord. The area offers vacation accommodations and opportunities for herring fishing.

Culture and History

A listed historic cottage dating from around 1800 stands at Hasselholzstraße 28. The single-story, gable-fronted half-timbered building has a thatched half-hipped roof.

The Kius-Ulsnis-Steinfeld Village Museum contains objects from households, farms, and craft businesses in Ulsnis and Steinfeld; these include items from the 17th and 18th centuries.

At the KerzenHuus in Steinfeld, visitors can make their own candles. The activity takes place in a relaxed atmosphere with guidance.
