Nottfeld: Hotels and Accommodations

Nottfeld combines a heavily wooded landscape with field edges, hedgerows, wetlands, and small groves. Half of the Schukjer Moor lies in Nottfeld; a 13-hectare raised bog remnant is at the center of nature conservation measures there, which also include restoring the water level.

Landscape and History

Christianslyst is located in Nottfeld, nestled in the hilly landscape of Angeln between the Schlei and the Flensburg Firth. Christianslyst was formerly a royal hunting estate. Most of the older buildings were replaced by the present-day complex in 1969 and 1970; the current Christianslyst building was constructed in 1969.

Paths in the Surrounding Area

Christianslyst is located about 5 km from the Schlei Fjord. The northern section of a route passes by Thorsberger Moor to Norderbrarup and its St. Mary's Church. Along the way, the route passes the ring-shaped Kummerhy burial mound. In Nottfeld, it leaves the route and continues through the Peters and Kuhholz wooded areas.

Getting There

The regional train between Flensburg and Kiel runs hourly and stops at Süderbrarup station. From there, bus routes 605 and 610 go to Nottfeld. From the Christianslust–Nottfeld stop, it is a 500-meter walk to Christianslyst.

On Site

Christianslyst primarily accommodates larger groups and has 140 sleeping places as well as facilities for classes, workshops, and lectures. The outdoor sports areas include facilities for soccer, handball, volleyball, beach volleyball, and pétanque. There is also a heated swimming pool.

The surroundings of Christianslyst are suitable for walks and bike tours. Bicycle rental can be arranged through the Christianslyst staff. Christianslyst offers canoes for rent for excursions on the Schlei.
