The Kongernes Jelling visitor and experience centre is located in the monument complex around Jelling Church. Kongernes Jelling presents the history of the Viking kings Gorm and Harald, their runestones, the large ship setting and the massive palisade. The burial mounds, runestones and church in Jelling illustrate pagan Nordic culture and the Christianisation of Denmark. The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Jelling was inscribed in 1994 and is located in Vejle Municipality.
Haraldskær and Kvak Mølle form the gateway to Vejle Ådal and have a free exhibition about the entire Vejle Ådal and Vejle Fjord. Egtvedpigens Verden is a museum in nature at the site where the Egtved Girl was buried around 3,400 years ago.

This creates several clearly distinct thematic approaches: landscapes and trails shape the nature destinations, while Vingsted Jernalder, Egtvedpigens Verden and Jelling reveal different historical periods.
