Culture and history
The Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit stands in Ząbrowo. It dates from the 14th century and was rebuilt in 1702 and 1864. Its construction period ran from 1701 to 1702; the neoclassical tower was added in 1864. The interior features a polychrome-painted ceiling, a Classicist pulpit, and a Baroque altar.
Ząbrowo was founded under Kulm law at the end of the 13th century; in 1312, the German name Sommerau appears. Szymbark is located in the vicinity of Ząbrowo; “Zamek warowny XIII-XIVw.” is situated there.
