Culture and History

Kętrzyn’s historical heritage includes the fortified Church of St. George, a castle, and the city’s fortifications. The Gothic Teutonic Castle in Kętrzyn dates from 1374 and houses the Regional Museum named after Wojciech Kętrzyński.
