Mrągowo Tower, historically known as Wieża Bismarcka, was ceremonially opened on 18 August 1906. It is considered the first Bismarck tower in Masuria and remains the best-preserved structure of its kind in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. During a visit, 100 steps lead past themed exhibitions to views over Mrągowo, the surrounding lakes and the Masurian forests. A fun way to explore MrÄ…gowo is the “MrÄ…gowscy Kowboje†quest. The 6-kilometre route takes around two hours and starts at MrÄ…gowskie Centrum Kultury, ul. Warszawska 26. All you need to take part is a puzzle leaflet: rhyming clues guide you along the route and eventually lead to a “treasureâ€. At Lemur Park high ropes course, there are dozens of obstacles and courses, hundreds of metres long and with varying levels of difficulty. At the Museum of Military Technology, visitors can touch the exhibits and enter many of them. The two attractions offer different experiences: one focuses on obstacles and courses, while the other lets visitors experience the displayed technology at close quarters.
The region also offers longer trips on the water: the 36-kilometre Dajna kayaking route connects Piecki, Mrągowo and Święta Lipka and passes through the lakes of the Mrągowo Lakeland.
