The Gmina Purda municipality is considered one of the most scenic areas in the region. The Jezioro Kośno reserve is regarded as a refuge for waterbirds and birds of prey.
Geographical Location
In the wider regional area surrounding Purda, the Gmina Purda municipality is a rural municipality in Olsztyński County, northwest of Olsztyn. The Olsztyn–Szczytno railway line, the national road from Olsztyn to Szczytno, as well as regional and municipal roads, run through the municipality. Culture
In the wider regional area surrounding Purda, Olsztyn Castle, dating from the 14th century, is located there. Szczytno Castle, a 14th-century Teutonic Castle, is also located there. Janusz Kusociński Park is situated in the same wider regional area.
