Dybowo: Hotels and Accommodation

Dybowo lies south of Pasym and has a compact settlement consisting predominantly of masonry buildings. Its history and surroundings combine rural heritage with historic destinations and the routes mentioned.

History and Townscape

Former farm laborers’ quarters of the former folwark have been preserved in Dybowo; they were built at the beginning of the 20th century. Beyond the village lies a former Protestant cemetery with a mass grave. Dybowo was founded around 1394, a ducal folwark was established there in the mid-17th century, and a school was built in 1901.

Surroundings and Landscape

The surrounding area of Dybowo includes Szczytno - Teutonic Castle, 14th century and Dąbrowa. In the wider regional surroundings are Olsztyn - Castle, 14th century and Janusz Kusociński Park.

The wider regional surroundings also include the southern area of the Olsztyn Lakeland, a landscape with numerous lakes, rivers, moraine hills, and extensive forest complexes.

Cycling and Hiking Routes

A 21 km mountain bike route around Lake Leleskie passes through Elganowo, Leleszki, and Dybowo. A PTTK hiking route ran from Grom railway station via Leleszki and Dybowo to Pasym railway station; the published route was 17 km long.
