In the 1930s, numerous private villas were built in Pogodno, standing in gardens. A sports area was opened at Skwer Romana Kużaka in 2025. It includes a football field, a basketball court, and a multi-purpose court. The football field and basketball court are intended for two sports; the multi-purpose court adds another sporting option to the new area. Church history from the 19th century to the postwar period

The history of the site where the Kościół Świętego Krzyża now stands dates back to a Protestant chapel from 1834, which could accommodate only around 500 people. The historical connection therefore extends significantly further back than the development of Nowe Łękno from 1911 onward.

The Kościół Świętego Krzyża retains church pews from the first half of the 19th century as well as postwar furnishings. These include an image of the Divine Mercy and a statue of Our Lady of Fatima. These preserved elements make the church an independent point of interest for anyone wishing to learn about Pogodno through its historical and religious development.
