The approximately 15-km-long hiking trail “Spor Bøtø Nor” leads into the wetland and can be accessed from five different car parks. At Bøtø Nor, there are two bird towers with views across the Bøtø Nor bird protection area, as well as a birdwatching hide at Bøtø Enge.

Skejten is a flat, rugged natural area that has never been used for agriculture, with rare animal and plant species, large glacial erratic boulders and thick old oak trees.
