Kalvehave reveals its maritime character at the harbor. Kalvehave Harbor is located directly beneath Dronning Alexandrines Bridge and right by the Møn Bridge. Kalvehave Church with Brick Construction and Altarpiece

Kalvehave Church is the oldest church in the parish. It was built around 1225–1250 from brick at a holy spring and has been a wayside church since 1998. Its High Renaissance altarpiece from the late 16th century was created by the “Bårse herreds snedker.” Guided tours are available in the church. Those interested in culture can combine the tour with viewing the altarpiece and learning about Kalvehave’s history as a crossing point to Møn. Finds indicate that the history of the area dates back to the Stone Age and that Kalvehave has served as a crossing point to Møn since that time.

Dronning Alexandrines Bridge between Kalvehave and Koster

Dronning Alexandrines Bridge was opened on May 30, 1943, and inaugurated on that occasion by Queen Alexandrine. It is named after Queen Alexandrine. The bridge crosses Ulvsund between Kalvehave and Koster and is 746 meters long.
