Knuthenborg

Knuthenborg Safari Park in Denmark is certainly not one of the largest amusement parks in the Baltic Sea region, but it may well be one of the most imaginative—and by now, Denmark’s most attractive wildlife park.
Knuthenborg Safari Park is located on the island of Lolland, between Maribo and Bandholm. Most holidaymakers on Lolland choose a holiday apartment or holiday home here. The year-round park has entrances in Bandholm and the village community of Maglemer. In summer, Maribo—with its historic museum railway—is also a great base for a visit to Knuthenborg Safari Park. Inside the park, visitors are surprised by the mix of local animals that can also live freely in the Baltic Sea region, alongside animals from Africa and Asia.
Across more than 660 hectares, Knuthenborg Safari Park has even created space to explore the animals’ habitats with children in an engaging, educational way. The monkeys are sure to attract the most attention. However cute and communicative the different species may seem—and even if they are tame enough to take food from your hand—they remain wild at heart.
