Hotels on Fischland-Darß-Zingst

The narrow Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula, one of Germany’s most fascinating holiday regions, was formed from the cores of three former Baltic Sea islands. Some of Germany’s most historic seaside resorts can be found here, including Zingst, Prerow and Ahrenshoop. At the peninsula’s northwestern tip, Darßer Ort, the process of land formation can be observed. From the Darßer Ort lighthouse, visitors also enjoy sweeping views over the Darßer Urwald nature reserve. Interrupted only by Darßer Ort, a sandy beach stretching for more than 40 kilometres runs along the peninsula’s outer coast. The shallow-water areas at the eastern end of Zingst are part of Germany’s largest crane roosting site.
