Moorland and Birdwatching

Sædballe Fredmose lies immediately east of Nordenbro on South Langeland and is a nutrient-rich moorland with reed beds and extensive willow thickets. The reed beds and willow thickets give this landscape a clearly recognisable character of its own.

Paths at Tryggelev Nor

From the car park at Tryggelev Nor, two short hiking trails lead to observation hides at Tryggelev Nor and Salme Nor, respectively. For a short hike, you can therefore choose between two observation hides from the same car park: Tryggelev Nor or Salme Nor. The two short trails can each be planned separately with their own observation destination. Tryggelev Nor and Salme Nor each refer to a separate observation hide.

Tryggelev Nor can be reached by car via the main road in Nordenbro; the signposts point towards Nordenbro Vesteregn or Tryggelev Nor. This allows the road connection, car park and the two hide destinations to be considered separately when finding your way.

Neolithic Traces

Rundhøj in Nordenbro comprises a round barrow from the Neolithic period (3950–2801 BC) as well as a Neolithic dolmen or passage grave from the Neolithic period (3950–2801 BC).

The preserved chamber at Rundhøj has two supporting stones, one of which has fallen over. There is also a capstone with five bowl-shaped depressions. The five depressions belong to the capstone, while the supporting stones support the chamber; one of them has fallen over. These architectural details give the site a precise cultural and historical profile. For those interested in culture, Rundhøj and the windmill stump are two cultural and historical destinations. At Rundhøj, culture enthusiasts can combine the dating with the preserved stone features.

Windmill Stump and Galleri Fyrst

On Langeland, Nordenbro is one of the places with a preserved, capless windmill stump. Such structures are considered interesting buildings and complement the Stone Age traces with an independent motif.

At Galleri Fyrst, you can walk through the garden and possibly eat food you have brought with you on one of the terraces. Galleri Fyrst has no fixed opening hours. A possible visit there combines a garden visit with your own provisions.
