Sülstorf: Hotels and accommodations

Sülstorf is located approximately twelve kilometers south of Schwerin, the state capital of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The municipality belongs to the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Location and transport

Sülstorf has a railway stop on the Ludwigslust–Wismar railway line. The stop is served by the RE8 and RB17 lines; both operate alternately every two hours, resulting in an hourly pattern. The B321 is approximately seven kilometers from Sülstorf; the A24 can be reached via the Hagenow junction in about ten kilometers.

Natural surroundings

The wider area around Sülstorf includes forests, lakes and rivers, as well as protected areas such as the Lewitz and Hagenower Bekow. Tannenwerder (Toteninsel), Kaninchenwerder and Schwaneninsel are located in the surrounding area.

Culture and activities

The surrounding area of Sülstorf is home to the Schwerin-Zippendorf television tower, “Schwerin, Landesmuseum” and Schwerin Zoo. Pingelhof is also located in the wider regional area.

Near Sülstorf, there is a trail through the Lewitz landscape with 16 stations connected to local legends, suitable for hikers and cyclists; it begins and ends at Friedrichsmoor Hunting Lodge. The Zachun water-ski lift is also located in the surrounding area.
