Severin: Hotels and Accommodation

Severin is a stop on a documented cycling tour around Parchim. The route continues via Alt Damerow, Kiekindemark and Sonnenberg. The complete route is approximately 50 kilometres long; a shortcut measures 37.5 kilometres.

Landscape and Cycling

The Groß Godems area is considered suitable for cycling, hiking and rural recreation. Mixed and pine forests, as well as the Sonnenberg Douglas fir forest, shape the landscape. In the vicinity of Severin are Am schiefen Berg, Maiblumenberg, Großer Vietingsberg and Langer Berg.

Agriculture and Regional Destinations

A farm event in Severin included horse-drawn wagon rides during which guests could see the Galloway herd’s pasture beside the forest. The Rühe Twin Farm in Severin was associated with Galloway cattle farming; a farm festival there offered tastings of farm products.

The Schwedenschanze is located near Severin. In the wider regional area are Burgwall and the ruins of Kuhburg. The Platschow Elephant Farm is also located in the surrounding area.
