Wredenhagen’s historic village church is connected to the castle complex: a church already stood here around 1300 as part of the outer bailey. The present building is the fourth church built on this site.
History and Culture
The restored castle gatehouse serves as a cultural venue for theater, concerts, exhibitions, and school events. The palace also includes a room dedicated to local history and an ancestral gallery.
Nature and Landscape
In Mönchshof, an observation tower overlooks the Mönchsee nature reserve. In the Wredenhagen countryside, the charcoal burner’s hut overlooks Demmin Lake, which is covered with water lilies and surrounded by alder and reed vegetation.
