Ueckermünde’s town harbour is located on the Uecker River at the Kleines Haff and next to the junction with the Köhnschen Canal.

Walkable, accessible promenades run along both sides of the Uecker. There are seating areas along the harbour and quay wall.

The old town includes the castle of the Pomeranian dukes with the Haffmuseum, historic half-timbered houses and warehouses, as well as St Mary’s Church. The Haffmuseum presents prehistoric, early historical and urban historical exhibits, including material on foundries, brickmaking, shipping and fishing. Interactive guided tours, hands-on activities and multimedia information are tailored to different age groups. The Kulturspeicher is a long-established centre for art, culture, crafts and tourism.

On the Water

The two-masted Coat of Arms of Ueckermünde offers accessible sailing experiences, with opportunities to participate in navigation, sailing and activities in the galley. The UCRA – The Pomeranian Cog is a floating museum that sails from Ueckermünde and also serves historical education and youth work. The Greif of Ueckermünde is a two-masted sailing yacht for children and young people, focused on practical participation in navigation, anchoring and sailing.

Surroundings

The immediate surroundings of Ueckermünde include Strandpark, the Ueckermünde motocross track and Apothekerberg. The surrounding area includes Cöthen, Trendel and Ahlbeck village church. The wider regional area includes the island of Usedom and Schlossberg.
