Trzebiatkowa is located in the Bytów Lake District, near the northwestern edge of the Kashubian region known as Gochy. The locality belongs to the Pomeranian Voivodeship, Bytów County, and the municipality of Tuchomie. Siemierzycka Góra is located in the surrounding area. The wider regional area also includes Bytów – Gotycki zamek krzyżacki XIV I XV w. – as well as Nowe Slone (200 m).

Landscape and Location

Trzebiatkowa is situated along the route of the former Lębork–Bytów–Miastko railway line and 1.2 km southeast of National Road 20 between Stargard and Gdynia. This places the locality in a landscape where the lake district and the Kashubian Gochy region are immediate points of geographical reference.

History and Cultural Heritage

An archaeological cemetery associated with the Pomeranian culture was discovered in Trzebiatkowa. The first recorded mention of the locality dates from 1345; during the period of the Teutonic Order, Trzebiatkowa was a knight's village. Trzebiatkowa is also considered an old settlement of the Kashubian landed nobility and the origin of the Trzebiatowski family.
