Dobersdorf: Hotels and accommodations

Lake Dobersdorf is a calcareous, unstratified lowland lake with a relatively small catchment area. Its eastern shore includes the Natura 2000 FFH site “Calcareous fen meadow on the eastern shore of Lake Dobersdorf” with EU site number 1627-391.

Nature and landscape

The protected landscape around Lake Dobersdorf is characterized by hills and valleys as well as several small, near-natural streams and spring areas. The lake drains via the Jarbek into Lake Passader. White-tailed eagles, red kites and western marsh harriers have been reported from the area around Lake Dobersdorf and Lake Passader.

Trails and observation

The walking route around Lake Dobersdorf provides access to the protected FFH wetland; as a circular route, it also offers opportunities for observing nature. From Schlesen, a route follows a foot and cycle path along Lake Dobersdorf.

Water and fishing

Lake Dobersdorf can be explored from both sides by rental boat. Rental boats are available at the jetties in Tökendorf and Schlesen.

Lake Dobersdorf is considered a predatory-fish angling water with strong populations of zander and pike. Fishing there generally takes place from a boat.

Culture and history

The route around Lake Dobersdorf lists the ice cellar in the Bookhorn enclosure, the remains of a medieval motte near Jasdorf and Dobersdorf Manor as cultural and historical sights. The manor house was built for Christopher von Blome in 1770–1772 and is considered an important work of the Rococo.
