Giekau: Hotels and Accommodations

Giekau is home to the Seekrug bathing area. It is used for swimming and paddling, as well as relaxing by the water.

History

Gut Neuhaus, a historic estate, is located on Lake Selent. Its surviving remains include a motte and a moated castle.

Giekau is also home to a fieldstone hall church from the 13th century. It has a Neoclassical west tower added at a later date and a richly figural Late Gothic triptych.
