Großharrie: Hotels and Accommodations

Großharrie has existed for more than 850 years. The Ostertor was the first and, for a long time, the only entrance to the historic village green. The Peace Oak on the Großharrie village green dates back to 1872; the twin oak there commemorates the unification of Schleswig-Holstein.

Culture

The Church of the Holy Spirit in Bokhorst serves the residents of Großharrie. It hosts concerts, readings, cinema church events, book presentations, and community festivals.

Nature

Dosenmoor is a raised bog with peat deposits up to eight meters thick. It formed after the last Ice Age and was designated a nature reserve in the early 1980s. Dosenmoor provides a habitat for wild boars and greylag geese.

Paths

A circular trail leads around Dosenmoor, while a single path crosses the moor. On its route back to Neumünster, the Vicelinweg cycling circuit passes through Großharrie. A cycling path approximately two kilometers long is also planned along Tasdorfer Weg between Tasdorf and Großharrie.
