History and Culture
The history of the village is closely linked to Wittenberg Estate. Wittenberg was first mentioned in 1299; in 1584, Otto Reventlow acquired the estate. Cultural events take place in Martensrade throughout the year and are open to everyone.

A cycle path connects the districts of Martensrade and Wittenberger Passau. Martensrade is located on the B 202; this road provides connections towards Kiel and the Baltic Sea beaches.
