Prasdorf: Hotels and Accommodations

Prasdorf is shaped by the Hagener Au valley: meadows, pastures and wooded slopes define the landscape. At the same time, the village center retains a large number of old trees.

Landscape

There is a village pond on the village square. Prasdorf places great importance on planting and preserving native plant species. The visitor amenities also include a farm café. The village’s agricultural businesses offer farm holidays.

Between Prasdorf and Laboe, the Stiftungland model project comprises two sections of the Hagener Au lowlands, which together are almost six kilometers long. The Hagener Au corridor is considered an important ecological network axis in the western Probstei region. The model project has the status of a landscape conservation area and a NATURA 2000 site.

Culture and History

Lilli Arp was born and grew up in Prasdorf. Udo Jürgens also spent part of his childhood in the village: he lived with his grandmother in Prasdorf for almost a year and attended school there.

Activities

Ponyhof Sye offers riding holidays for children in Prasdorf. Riding holiday guests stay there in two modern children’s sleeping houses with a covered courtyard.

The wider Probstei region has an extensive network of signposted cycling and hiking trails. The routes lead through fields, meadows, nature reserves and villages, past historic monuments and to lakes. Along the way, there are shelters, benches, inns and farm cafés.
